Do I need a home telephone number to get accepted for a mobile phone contract?
No, you do not need a home telephone number to be accepted for a mobile phone contract. Most mobile phone networks such as T-Mobile do not require you to have a home contact telephone number to be accepted.
What can I do to get a more expensive – higher end handset like the Apple iphone on contract if I have bad credit?
The one thing we can suggest is go for a lower end handset to begin with and then after say 12 – 15 months into your contract, ask for an upgrade. Most mobile phone networks are likely to upgrade you without a problem should you have a good account standing i.e. payments on time by direct debit, etc.
